Traditional 100 year old village house set within the quaint and authentic village of Otos, only 25 minutes inland from the Costa Blanca coast.
Otos, known as the sundial village, is located in the shady area of the Benicadell mountains, among fruit trees, vineyards and olive trees. The nearby mountains are perfect for outdoor activities including walking, quad biking and bird watching.
Casa Joan is a recently restored 3 storey, 4 bedroom village house. It is supplied fully furnished and can easily accommodate up to 7 people in comfort.

This is a friendly village with three restaurant/bars and paella can be specially prepared at one of the restaurants (order the day before), you won't be disappointed. For shopping, there is a Saturday market in the village square. Other amenities include a bank, hairdressers, pharmacy, tobacconist, bakery, butcher, grocery shops available along with daily visits to the village from a fish monger, frozen food specialist etc. There is a limited bus service but we recommend that a car is required to explore the area.
Otos has its main fiesta in August: three nights of fun, dancing, concerts, food, music etc. starting around the 3rd but not for those who want to sleep at night as fiesta ends at 5:00 am! During the summer months most life takes place at the very popular communal village swimming pool.
Do visit the Marquess of Otos' Palace, the most important civil building of the town. It was built in the 18th century and has recently been restored.
Otos is 90kms south of Valencia, the nearest main town is Xativa which is well worth a visit, especially the castle. This is a great location to combine a few days of peace and quiet in the mountains with the relaxing golden beaches of Gandia.
